The Deputy Secretary in Kuwait

On Wednesday, February 17, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wolin will be in Kuwait City, Kuwait, for meetings with senior government officials, including the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Sabah, Minister of Finance Mustafa Al-Shamali, Central Bank Governor Sheikh Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Kuwait Investment Authority Managing Director Bader Al-Saad, and Economic Advisor to the Amir, Dr. Yousef Al-Ibrahim, "to discuss the global response to the economic crisis, efforts to reform the financial system, and the importance of combating terrorist financing."

Meanwhile, back at headquarters, on Wednesday morning, Secretary Geithner will attend the President's Economic Daily Briefing at the White House. His only publicly identified event.
