The Federal Reserve has announced the tentative schedule for the 2012 meetings of the Federal Open Market Committee (and the first meeting of 2013). The FOMC is the Fed's monetary policy setting group.
January 24-25 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
March 13 (Tuesday)
April 24-25 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
June 19-20 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
July 31 (Tuesday)
September 12 (Wednesday)
October 23-24 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
December 11 (Tuesday)
January 29-30, 2013 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
Those meetings that are scheduled for two days are the quarterly review meetings. Following these quarterly review meetings, Fed Chairman Bernanke will now hold press conferences.
