Connecting the Dots: Gaddafi is Dead, Obama Sends Troops to Central Africa

The United States government is playing a major global power game.

Paul Craig Roberts writes:

With Libya conquered, AFRICOM will start on the other African countries where China has energy and mineral investments. Obama has already sent US troops to Central Africa under the guise of defeating the Lord’s Resistance Army, a small insurgency against the ruling dictator-for-life. The Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, welcomed the prospect of yet another war by declaring that sending US troops into Central Africa "furthers US national security interests and foreign policy." Republican Senator James Inhofe added a gallon of moral verbiage about saving "Ugandan children," a concern the senator did not have for Libya’s children or Palestine’s, Iraq’s, Afghanistan’s and Pakistan’s.

Washington has revived the Great Power Game and is vying with China. Whereas China brings Africa investment and gifts of infrastructure, Washington sends troops, bombs and military bases. Sooner or later Washington’s aggressiveness toward China and Russia is going to explode in our faces.

Where is the money going to come from to finance Washington’s African Empire? Not from Libya’s oil. Big chunks of that have been promised to the French and British for providing cover for Washington’s latest war of naked aggression. Not from tax revenues from a collapsing US economy where unemployment, if measured correctly, is 23 percent.
This is in addition to everything else that is going on in the Middle East. And my very strong suspicions about the cancer that Hugo Chavez is suffering with. A huge global chess game is being played. PCR's closing question is most apt:

Will the US collapse in economic chaos before it rules the world?

  1. Gerald Celente (of Trends Research) had predicted many months ago that USA wants a world war. The war will allow USA to hide its problems. Without a war, USA has no solution for its debt problem. War allows USA to blame the economic problems on the war. Also anyone, who opposes USA government policies, is labelled as anti-national.

  2. Obama is working on another Nobel Peace Prize. It's easy to do when you control the greatest killing machine in history. The recipients of the rockets and bombs will be most impressed with his next award, he's got a tough job here you know. "Change you can believe in" remember.

What's the line from the song "Can I Play With Madness"?

....."but you're too blind to see."

  4. This is just more of the same. To the apologists for this type of foreign policy, even the most minute cessation of militaristic activities around the world is akin to surrender. What I want to know is this: What in the world will it take to shake Americans out of their apathetic stupor and finally reign in our runaway government? It is no exaggeration to say that Americans behave these days, as Doug Casey put it, like whipped dogs. Only a few thousand folks on the internet, myself included, are vocal about wanting to stop this insane foreign "policy" (intimidation through force).

It must be reiterated over and over: Americans have no damned business being in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Libya, etc.

We are living through the most surreal period in history right now; the complete apathy of the public at large gives the defense department and their affiliates license to do exactly as they wish in order to line as many pockets as possible. In light of decades of this, it is astounding and pitiful that Joe Lunchbox is still only concerned about who wins the football game or what show is on TV after his bills are paid.

Besides the enrichment of industry and government insiders, what good is international crusading for democracy? I refuse to believe any other honest explanation could be given that accounts for the reason behind our seemingly perpetual meddling all over the world.

The neo-fascist's "Project for a New American Century" wasn't just a college paper. It is a blueprint for American hegemonic empire in the 21st century.

None of them understand economics. None of them even care. The country has an uncontrollable criminal gang doing whatever it wants. The American people and American wealth are being sacrificed for the sake of these criminal's aspirations.

  6. "Whereas China brings Africa investment and gifts of infrastructure..." BS. China is using the corrupt regimes in Africa to further their own goals: exploit Africa's natural resources to their exclusive benefit. China couldn't care less how many people die in the process. Regardless, that is Africa's problem, not ours.

  8. "Will the US collapse in economic chaos before it rules the world?"

That is the 64Trillion dollar question, Bob.

Since all 4 major world economies- US, EU, Japan and China- are all teetering on the brink of massive inflation, bank failure, sovereign default and social backlash, I have doubts that TPTB can effectively implement their desired vision of a "New World Order"- complete with global judiciary, global monetary system and global "dictatorship" -before the global fiat/central banking system frays at the edges and chaos takes over. If any one of the 4 falls apart, then the other 3 will follow them. I don't think that the MSM can sell a "global war" to the people today, especially when the personal privation that will come with it will negatively impact their lifestyle, and they will seek out alternative explanations. That is the true genius of Ron Paul- he has educated enough people to make large-scale "re-education" impossible, especially with the power of the internet.

That is why TPTB are so hellbent on an "Internet Kill Switch"- if they need to implement mass control, they can't have the independent voices on the Internet spreading the truth.

I don't think the next few years are going to be rosy, but I do think that the devolution of political power to more local levels is inevitable, as well as the introduction of alternative currencies and a generally more libertarian political sphere. At least I hope that I'm right!

  9. Jingoism is usually the last barrier to fall, before an individual can truly see freedom. It was for me, now it's all very clear. The State needs war more than any other single thing. When war is granted moral legitimacy, all other evils follow very easily.

  10. Robert, What do you mean, "my very strong suspicions about the cancer that Hugo Chavez is suffering with"? Are you saying that somebody gave him cancer?
