Ron Paul: Newt's Tea Party Claims a Little Strange

Ron Paul said on CNN’s State of the Union:
The tea party is not a tea party. I mean, it’s all over the place - everybody’s claiming they’re the tea party.Somebody like Newt Gingrich who’s been in politics all these years and is an insider is claiming that he’s leading the tea party movement  - that to me is a little strange.

  1. Well, Newt Gingrich is one of the reasons the Tea Party exists.

It is because Republicans are not happy with status quo Republican politicians which includes Newt Gingrich that the Tea Party exists. Think about American history and what "Tea Party" refers to. The beginning of a revolution against the overbearing government.

So in effect, it does exist (in part) because of him since it is a movement to replace politicians like him with better ones that care about the constitution and don't want to create a fascist police state.

Newt is really one of the King's men. So in that capacity, he did help cause its creation.

  2. Why hasn't somebody told Ron Paul to grow a sack and call these frauds out?

I'm a huge Paul fan; the man is a saint. But this is a war...a brawl. And he's assuming the stance of a pussy. He's done the decades of philosophizing. He's been amazing. He's now in a position to absolutely butcher these clowns, and he's saying things like "Well...that's a stretch" when he needs to be saying "that is laughable. Newt is a total big govt phony...an insider...and here's why". Bam. If he's not the one to play that tough role, then he should surround himself with people who are more aggressive...are willing to go after the enemy and choke them.

Am I the only one who's losing patience with this great man?

  3. Chuck Baldwin warned the Tea Party in 2010 of this very situation.

"If one wants to put names to these treasonous wretches (and I do), I'm talking about charlatans such as Newt Gingrich and Trent Lott. Anyone who thinks that Newt Gingrich is a real conservative or that he will do anything to reduce the size and scope of the federal government needs to speak with any of those Republican members of the freshman class of 1994."

"But now many of the Tea Parties are distancing themselves from Dr. Paul and embracing establishment players such as Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck. Even Newt Gingrich is being courted. Watch out, Tea Party Nation: you're in danger of losing your soul! Newt Gingrich is not one of you. He is not your friend. He is an imposter. He will destroy you just like he almost single-handedly destroyed the Conservative Revolution of 1994."
