Judge Napolitano: Geithner Could Face Criminal Charges

Geithner is surrounded. It looks Geithner's father, who I believe is high level CIA, will have to step in to keep Timmy out of the slammer.

  1. @03:45 the host says "kidding", as if to cover his ass, after (probably accidentally) saying "it's clear that the banks run the country, the country doesn't run itself."

  2. Obama will pardon him along with many other people associated with his administration. Betcha John Corzine gets a 'Get Out of Jail Free' card too.

  3. The White House, Congress, and both parties are up to their necks in this and the media are in their back pockets. This will go no where.

  4. Can't think of anything more satisfying than Geitner behind bars.

  5. @Anon 1:58 pm: That "kidding" sounds like it was edited in. Note, Napolitano is in view, not Smith, and the "kidding" is louder than Smith's previous commentary. I would bet this shows up in a simple waveform analysis.

  6. This video first made it to YouTube on January 7, 2010, and it was in response to the FRBNY email dump made by Congressman Issa. See this Bloomberg story:

As to the "kidding" remark, yes, it was very likely inserted after the fact. See the waveform pic here:

  7. And our comments on these creeps must be 'approved'.... that means we cannot say what we really think or hope for ...

  8. Janet Tavakoli has a great summary of all this in articles she wrote back in 2008-2010 and her book "Dear Mr. Buffet...". Well worth reading for the background it provides on this sordid mess.
