Madeline Albright to Receive Presidential Medal of Freedom

Derrick emails:
If you haven't seen it, Reuters is reporting that Madeline Albright will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom next Tuesday. Perhaps your readers would like a quick reminder of how Madame Albright earned this honor. As far as I'm concerned the relevant portions of her bio start and end with her admission to Leslie Stall on 60 Minutes, that the 500,000 plus Iraqi children who died as a result of sanctions were, "worth it."

  3. The very idea of a Presidential medal for 'freedom' is an oxymoron.

  6. "It was worth it." - Madeline Albright when asked about the deaths of over 100,000 Iraqis as a result of US war and sanctions.

If scum like this are recognized in a positive way by the President, what does that say about the President?
