    1. So do I. Now the poor man who has spent his entire life building up the movement is now torn between his son and the liberty movement. Absolutely disgusting!

  2. Let's all wait until 2016, eh? (Yech!)

  3. Rand told them to get an appointment at 0:20. The guy should've left him alone right there. Apparently they don't teach manners at journalism school.

    1. Journalism School? Yeah so he become a corporate controlled talking head feeding us all propaganda. Luke is a citizen journalist giving the public what it has always wanted...the truth uncut.

  5. Shame on Rand Paul. Shame on him.

  6. Come on now, let's be realistic here. I'm not happy at all about Rand's endorsement either, but this constant suggesting that he is now a bought-and-paid-for, establishment hack who is now part of the "machine" is just taking it way too far.

He made a bad decision. It's impossible to know his motivations for doing so, but based on the commentary since the endorsement I think the most likely reason was simply a pragmatic judgement as outlined by Jack Hunter. I don't agree with it, but it is what it is.

Rand is still fighting against the TSA, still fighting against the NDAA, still fighting against the various horrible internet legislations, still fighting against the Fed, still fighting against the wars, etc. He wouldn't do that if he were just another establishment hack.

He made a bad decision...criticize the decision. He hasn't (yet) done enough wrong to jump to the conclusion that he is a lost cause. Come back down to earth, people.

    1. You need to step into reality Charles. Watch the second video. I've seen EXACTLY this type of behavior by all the other parasites in the Imperial City.

      "Make an appointment".

      "I'm having a private conversation".

Please. Talk about avoiding the justified criticism he's facing.

    2. RE: Rand Paul...1 And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
2 Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba.
3 And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways......
      How sad.

    3. Jack Hunter June 2012 vs Jack Hunter March 2012

Rand voted for sanctions (war) on Iran and he voted to confirm Panetta who says Congress need not grant permission for war but that the UN can???

Rand was never a tenth the man Ron is and those of us who saw how he ran for Senate knew he was cozy with the military. It isn't a surprise at all that he would do this.

Screw the Santorum "team player" rationale.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

  7. Rand's been a douche since he "moved out" of the apartment he shared with his father. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that house.

  8. Sounds like an Alex Jones fruitcake.

  9. Again Rand shows why he's a much better politician than his father. Ron never had a chance to get the GOP nomination, but down the road Rand really does. Rand should stay away from any group that is associated with Alex Jones and all his conspiracy nonsense. I would cringe everytime Ron would appear on the Alex Jones show. It did nothing but hurt him with people that might like his message but don't like all the craziness.

    1. I agree that Alex Jones is a nutcase like most conspiracy theorists but Rand is still a traitor. It's become blatantly obvious!

    2. "Ron never had a chance to get the GOP nomination, but down the road Rand really does."

Fat lot of difference that will make.

Too many people still buy into the notion that we want a ring of power, rather than the reality that we must destroy all the rings of power.

    3. I don't fully disagree, but...the real shame is that a lot of the craziness Alex Jones talks about is very real. Truth is often stranger than fiction. A lot of Ron Paul supporters probably aren't even aware of Alex Jones, i'll bet. The most hardcore supporters are aware, and they have nothing against Alex Jones.

    4. At least one thing we can say about Alex Jones is he isn't endorsing a man who would murder thousands of innocent men, women, and children if that man becomes president. He isn't endorsing a man who would have people tortured. He isn't endorsing a monster.

You don't understand the Movement or what Ron has done. Ron was *never* going to get the nomination and no one will who isn't part of the machine and already bought by the oligarchs.

The Movement is about toppling one or both of the parties (so happens to be the GOP at the moment) and restoring the Constitution and Rule of Law. It'll be done bottom-up, not top-down. Ron's goal was to start the brush fires which he's done... And Rand's is to be a "playa"... which he's doing.

    6. Yes Dan. He's still a nutcase BUT yeah. Rand is worse. Much worse.

    7. Pablo June 15, 2012 7:41 PM is right. It's the perfect analogy. Rand is telling us, "it's OK, I'll just use the ring to defeat Sauron." He will wind up just like Gollum.

Ron Paul was always a doctor from Texas who happened to be in the congress.

Rand Paul is behaving like a Professional Politician.

  10. I've never seen Ron Paul turn down an interview, especially from a liberty-minded person.

  11. I like Alex Jones. He's the canary in the coal mine. He yells "fire" when the rest of us only see smoke. I try to ignore him but his predictions keep coming true.

  12. I don't know why this is a shock. Rand has been voting for things like Iranian sanctions and aid to Israel for some time. I abandoned any hope for him a long time ago. Ron was my last hope for a principled politician.

  13. This may be terribly sad or terribly important. Rand Paul has either a) been bought (or compromised--same diff) or b) is part of a strategy we don't yet see.

Lots of insiders have said over the years that despite his down home charm, Ron is a genius political operator. We can only hope this is "the long con" on behalf of liberty.

  14. This entire episode with Rand Paul just proves how worthless is taking part in the political process. Almost everyone that runs for office gets swallowed up by the black hole of power. Don't vote and put your faith in no one. As Lew said recently, the empire must be destroyed from the outside; it won't happen from the inside.

  15. Power corrupted again.

  16. Yes, Ron Paul ignited the brush fire. However, Rand Paul is not pretending to be a player. If it were any state but Ky I wouldn't expect him to be re-elected but seeing as how KY keeps electing Beshear governor it wouldn't surprise me. It is I think more a blue state than red state though that really means little in terms of party politics. But it's largely a welfare state and a lot of their people have grown comfortable with the public dole. I didn't even stay up for the election returns when Obama was running. He carried KY's vote. He will carry it again. Those who benefit from socialist policies will always vote for them and while I don't believe Rand should have endorsed Romney, it's not likely to make a dent with the welfare populace in KY.

In so far as Rand's manners, I rather thought that if Rand had felt obliged to demonstrate any, he would have stopped, said hello, perhaps even asked the guy his name...and then proceeded to arrange a day and time to be spoken to. This would have been at the very least, good public relations. Instead, I was waiting with bated breath to see if he was going to break out in a full-fledged run.

And who the heck is the woman intervening on his behalf?? Honestly, can't this man stand up for himself without having his mother or some other female speaking up for him??? If he's going to be a player with the big boys he better grow a pair and quickly.

My sympathies to those who believed in him and supported him. I wasn't one who did but I'm not immune to the betrayal you must feel. He didn't seem to care at all about how his own behaviour made him look when confronted with legitimate questions. Let me guess... it's just Rand's way of saying "thank you", not "forget you".

Please wake up America. I'm tired of being pulled under the bus by some schmuck where every bleeding election has proven to be playing musical chairs with a Parliament of Whores. What about self-governance instead? Is that really more scary when compared to this, year after year, cradle to grave, generation upon generation?
