Market Knowledge Signals Jeremy Lin Will Not Be a New York Knick

The Knicks have until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to decide whether or not to match the Houston Rockets offer for Jeremy Lin. They have not said anything publicly, but market activity indicates the Knicks will not match the $25.1 million offer.

USA Today reports:

....the Knicks' official team store isn't waiting that long to remove Jeremy Lin apparel from its digital storefront.
There is no Jeremy Lin apparel available anywhere on the site.

The Knicks recently signed point guards Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd. Kidd, at 39, was so excited about snookering the Knicks that he immediately went out to celebrate and rapped his Cadillac Escalade around a pole in the South Hamptons, Police say Kidd was so drunk he didn't even know how he got in the accident.

For those of you that are not basketball fans, think of  the Knicks running the team with Felton and Kidd from the point guard position as opposed to Lin, as something akin to Rand Paul and Jesse Benton running the country versus Ron Paul.

  1. Haha! Brilliant analogy.

Keep in mind however that Lin still can't drive left. If defended properly it's going to be a problem for him at the upper levels of play(ie., playoffs) unless he develops further and overcomes it.

  2. That's a bad comparison. Felton is pretty good, and Lin could easily be a flash in the pan

  3. Thing about all the jerseys that are apart of merchant inventory. Can you say fire sale? That is what I would call a "rin-rin" situation.

  4. Lin and Paul? Terrible comparison.

  5. Lin could also be the next Steve Nash. Truth is it's too soon to tell. The Knicks would make such a move.

  6. The Knicks are so screwed up it's not even funny. However when the Dolan family is your owner you expect the worst. Yes he does over take Fred Wilpon (Mets), Charles Wang (Islanders) and Woody Johnson (Jets) who aren't any better. I wouldn't be surprised if the Brooklyn Nets overtake them when the season is said and done. Also it would be important to note that if Kidd is convicted the Knicks can void the contract.
