The Scariest Thing about Living in the United States

It is not the Federal Reserve and high price inflation----though that is very serious.

It is the growing capability of the U.S. government to monitor all our activities and record them for future reference. As the country gets more totalitarian, more and more people will get caught in the web. Brandon Raub was an early example. Down the road there may not be a Rutherford Institute to leap to the defense of others---and, indeed, a defense might even be ignored.

Here's a short video by a former NSA employee blowing the whistle on what is being developed and how detailed the tracking will be.

  1. There are already countless people being rounded up Brandon Raub style, as John Whitehead explains in this interview with Scott Horton. 80,000 in California alone. He states in this interview with Lew Rockwell that there have been 20,000 in Virginia. Since taking the Raub case some 300 people have contacted him saying this has happened to them. Most never get adequate legal help and are left to the devices of the Psycho-Pharma arm of the State. We're already well down that road.

    1. RPN,
Whitehead said that the 80,000 Californians who were civilly committed were all in Los Angeles County.

  2. I keep the two best libertarian attorneys I know starred on my contacts list on my mobile phone. In this day and age, you had best keep lawyers, guns and money close at hand.

    1. Good idea - - - except your money will be no good....need gold, silver or diamonds to use as "currency" when the chips are down. Keep your guns cleaned, loaded and nearby.

  4. America is well ahead of Britain regarding totalitarianism but we're getting there. My brother said if you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to fear. I told him he's the brother of an anti-government commentator. He has plenty to fear. Mick McNulty. England.

  5. The USA is now a well established fascist state. There is no question. We are now good Germans (1933).

    1. Are you kidding? Drive through Grand Rapids, MI. There is an empty industrial building for every person waiting in line at the employment agency looking to fill the the $8, part time job with no benefits.

  7. How many Germans in 1944 would believe that their government was killing thousands of Jews?
Today, it is millions of Americans who cannot admit that their own government are the bad guys.

  8. The only solution is for freedom loving people to go to work for the government in administrative and political positions and displace the power grabbing fascists who are trying to destroy America.

    1. The system will corrupt them. Not the other way around. Freedom loving people need to check out of the system, not to become a part of it.

  9. All political systems exist only as long as they enjoy popular consent. Consent is ESSENTIAL, otherwise no one would admit to working for the regime. "Hi Mom, I landed that job at the Gas Chamber! It comes with full benefits, too!"

Today's police state America completely rests on a delusional public, too busy hustling the system to "get me some" to notice the Panoticon that now watches them 24 hours a day, and whose nooses surround not their necks but their scrota.

This isn't going to go well. No tyranny is permanent (Orwell's fictional dystopia was just that, fiction) but we can only imagine the horrors that await a populace so foolish as to allow such power to aggregate in the hands of the 1% (1% is approximately the percentage of people born to be psychopaths).

    1. Wrong on several counts. People join the regimes for many reasons - consent not necessarily being one of them. Many join simply to be part of the controlling group. Not sure that's 'consent'.
Tyranny may not be permanent, but for those living in it, who cares if it extends to their grandchildren or existed for their grandparents? As long as the government is willing to allow the 90+% their Budweiser and McDonalds and NFL and NASCAR, no one's really going to raise a hand.
We're not consenting - we're either too lazy or complacent to do anything. This isn't the America of the past. While we're armed to the teeth - no one will use them except on each other.
And I think you vastly underestimate the number of psychopaths.

  11. I noticed that the video rightly denounces Bush Administration officials several times but doesn't mention the current regime which is obviously perpetuating the same spy-on-everyone skullduggery and using all of the Bush Regime tactics. This is so like the lickspittles at New York Times. They just can't avoid being partisan shills for President Hopey-Changey. I am so looking forward to another four years of this kind of creepy news media bootlicking.

  12. To hell with the new world order and all of the minions who flock to it so gleefully. In the end, after the dust settles, and mankind has finally proven he is unable of ruling himself, all those who followed so blindly will LOSE IT ALL! Tyranny always loses.

  13. Just watch TV and you see the same liberal BS from everywhere. We are definetly dying as a world power. We are so extended everywhere and are dead broke. Guns sales have skyrocketed. People are scared. It's coming, and soon!
