Very Dangerous:The First World Tax

The World Health Organization is considering a global excise tax of up to 70 percent on cigarettes, at an upcoming November conference, reports the Washington Free Beacon.

In draft guidelines published this September, the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control indicated it may put a cigarette tax on the table at its November conference in Seoul, Korea.

They won't stop with a cigarette tax. If successful, this is a major first step toward global taxation.

Not surprising, it was the World Bank that proposed the tax:

The Beacon reports:
“The concept was initially proposed by a working group set up by World Bank to explore innovative sources of financing health care and envisions a voluntary action by interested governments to adopt an additional tax levy as part of their regular tobacco excise on each pack of cigarettes consumed,” the WHO said in a January statement. “This would increase the effective excise tax rate on cigarettes towards the WHO recommended level of 70 percent of the retail price and, by generating substantial revenues, could ensure a sustainable revenue stream for financing international health.”...
WHO has estimated that such a tax in 43 selected high-/middle-/low-income countries would generate $5.46 billion in tax revenue.

Once the globalist tax man has his foot in the door, it's not going away.

  2. These bastards just will not give up. This must be their new plan to ensure the banksters get paid. Everybody else is dirt. Everybody can be robbed, fleeced, even killed, so long as the banksters don't have to cut back. Honest people who've worked their whole lives and paid their dues can be impoverished and kicked out into the streets, if that's what it takes to ensure that the banksters get their bonuses, don't have to sell that second yacht or that third vacation home.

These people are sociopathic, amoral scum. The sooner the rest of us realize that, the better -- for the sake of our own survival.

    1. All they have to do in one of their world agreement meetings is "agree" to and then each country works out the details in local laws.....not unlike the US Dollar agreements for the "reserve currency" of the world...which by the way is unraveling...

    2. By giving into global governance, which he, as well as others before him, have already done.

    3. I read that all that has to be done is for the Senate to pass it and Obama to sign it, I read this December the Treaty will be up for discussion.

  6. The United Nations has been trying for years and still continues to try to be a taxing authority, whether it be through the World Health Organizaation (cigarette tax) or the International Maritime Organization which is trying to tax marine fuels used by all ships or the emmissions they produce. This amounts to about 80,000 ships throughout the world that transport about 90% the world's goods and commodities. They are not a government and they have absolutely no right to tax anyone. They are also trying, through international treaties, to outlaw firarms ownership by private citizens throughout the entire world.

Our world is made up of soverign nations, none of which should ever have to account to or pay taxes to a world government or wanna be
world government such as the United Nations.

    1. No one has right to tax anyone. That governments do it is not their "right", it's just plain old criminality, looking majestic because of its sheer scale.

    2. He said "Americans," as in the people that live under the thumb of the U.S. government, as opposed to the U.S. government.

We must not mistake the people that live in a given region with their government. That is the logic Truman used to justify bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Imperial Japanese government = Japanese people, therefore okay to bomb).

And yes, keeping the US government from putting us under the thumb of a useless international organization that hopes to the the government of the world is important, and Americans should take it seriously (it's not the only important thing of course, given the US government's own abuses of people living here and its march to further tyranny).

  11. Uhhh...Idiot in Chief Obama is a smoker (says he quit, but he lies about everything else, so I don't believe him), this will NEVER happen. A high percentage of the European population smokes, so there would be rioting in the streets if such a tax should come to pass.

The UN can't even get it's grubby mitts on gun control (thankfully) so why would this have any chance of fruition??

  14. We need global institutions if we are going to solve global problems such as over fishing, pollution, climate change, ebola, etc. And we need citizens who think of taxes, regulation as a tool like a rifle or a chainsaw. Useful for achieving goals but dangerous when neglected or abused.

  15. Hey Globalist - that is the same what someone said about Federal Governments and the EU and look how well that has worked out ...

How is that Globalist garbage thing working out for you? And Federal?

And withholding those taxes from the taxing authorities?

    Dream on.

I think it will mean just a bigger group of criminals in power helping the smaller criminals even more on a Global scale.

Thinking those idiot criminals will help one bit is as being a sheep moron idiot in itself and shows just how stupid people are to believe that crap. Or are you one of the 47% sucking off of us currently 53% footing the bill?

  16. These Globalist Moron criminals will not stop at anything to try to get more into our pockets.

You really believe that Global Government criminals and institutions will help? What planet are you on?

I imagine it was some fool who said that is what we need federal governments for, and how is that working out for you by the way?

Now you want theft at gun point on a global scale with the mini dictators running the show with their globalist master holding the chains of perpetual slavery?

You make me want to puke when I think how much of the money I make goes to support these low life tards and their constituents.

Oh but its not fair, they sit at home watching the tube or ripping off crap while I work 12-14 hour days to partially pay their way and you want this global?

The stupidity and insanity of idiots like this ceased to amaze me years ago.

  17. There is a way to stop this kind of garbage . If Zerobama and Ms. Clinton agree to all this kind of rubbish - we, collectively, refuse to obey "their" rules and illegally passed laws. But it has to be collectively. One person or small group could be incarcerated, killed or otherwise caused to go along with the Gov't thugs. But as a large group they couldn't control all of us. Look at gun control. They will never be able to take the guns away from us because we stick together and will not abide by their laws because that's the first thing any dictator does when he is trying to take over a country. And there are probably 10 million more , not NRA members, who understand and will go right along with us. And don't try to tell me the gov't could wipe us all out easily. You have to understand that the overwhelming majority or police type agencies and our military feel the same way and would not obey gov't orders to disarm or fire on their own people. Those few who would, would not last long beause they would be taken care of by thier own members. Do you have any idea how many rotten politicians that NRA members and sympathizers alone have prevented being elected over the years? - hundreds, at least. maybe thousands. That's what you call collective power.

  18. It seems that it would be easier for us to just seek the help of delaware tax services providers to seek whatever "incentives" we can spare than to pay off for a "globalized" tax.
