Exclusive: OBAMACARE NIGHTMARE Part of Obamacare Will Be "Paper Sign Up Only," Web Based Electronic Sign Up Won't Be Ready Until 2014

A senior lobbyist at a medical association informs EconomicPolicyJournal.com  that "the SHOP exchange for small businesses to purchase insurance for their employees will require employers to sign up using paper forms. The ability to sign up using an electronic or web-based form will not likely be ready until January 2014 at best. The industry was informed of this limitation one week ago."

EPJ's source also says that the Individual Healthcare Exchanges are scheduled to "start" next week, but that WaPo has it right when quoting  Joel Ario, the former Director of Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, “nobody is going to say we’re not starting on October 1, but in some situations, you may see a redefinition of what ‘start’ means.”

Further, according to our source, a major dental-only insurance carrier is now considering dropping out of the Individual Exchanges as well (dental insurance is required for children).

This is on top of United Healthcare, Aetna and Cigna, which have already dropped out of many, if not all, state health care exchanges because of "glitches."

The "glitches," according to our source are related to posting accurate rates for products.

According to the government, the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) is a new program that simplifies the process of buying health insurance for small businesses. The SHOP Marketplace is open to employers with 50 or fewer full-time-equivalent employees (FTEs).

  1. LOL Did they want this thing to fail? Was this all about Obama looking good and tough to his liberal following?

The other thing is that this whole thing is contingent on young people signing up for this thing. However, they don't even vote (unless it's Ron Paul) so how are they expecting the young to sign up? Furthermore, if the young, or anybody for that matter, aren't willing to sign up for insurance for the cheaper rates that they have now, then why would they be willing to pay the higher rates? In the end, all this O'care is going to do is make a lot of people anti-taxers/anti-staters. Once they feel the heat of either paying 100+ of premiums along with their other monthly bills and payments or having to pay the penalty - and yes it is a penalty - they will see what altruism is and the consequences of it.
