EXCLUSIVE Another Obamacare Performance Lie (For firms with fewer than 50 employees)

EconomicPolicyJournal.com has learned exclusively that  the commitment made by Marilyn Tavenner just last week to the Senate that the Obamacare SHOP Exchange will be up and running by Nov. 30 will be a fail.

EPJ has learned that the government has not even begun testing the data exchanges necessary for a fully functioning SHOP exchange. In fact there has been NO discussion of SHOP or its launch, internally. Her testimony appears to have been made with no basis .

Our sources tell us that the SHOP exchange will not likely be available online until after the first of the year, at best.

According to the government, the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) is a new program that simplifies the process of buying health insurance for small businesses. The SHOP Marketplace is open to employers with 50 or fewer full-time-equivalent employees (FTEs).

  1. As we've known, it's more like the Smallbusiness Healthcare Is Terrible marketplace. Certainly the acronym is more appropriate for a USG operation.

    1. How dare you Chris! All the people designated to run the SHOP's program have completed Special High Intensity Training. They are prepared for anything. They were trained by Super Helpful Instructors of Teaching.
