  2. I live in Michigan and visit Texas at least once a year. Texas has marvelous roads. Michigan's roads are a disaster. Of course,Texas does not have road salt nor 5 above January temperatures that crack and mis-allign newly poured concrete.

  3. An interesting issue would be what are the union wages for road construction workers in each jurisdiction. I was making a super high $9 an hour working road construction in Michigan in 1975. When the crew moved to Erie, PA, we made "only" $6.50.
