The problem is Mark Dice comes off as a scammer in these videos and thus people are reacting to him as if he is. Plus it's a bar that people can't easily identify and even if he were to find someone who knew the mark the suspicion would be that it was fake. Doing it in front of coin shop where he could sell real silver in an instant just makes it that much more suspicious.
Now if he wanted to know if people knew it was valuable he should leave it sitting on the sidewalk and see if it was picked up. My guess is it wouldn't be there for long.
