A Taste of Free Trade for the Oil Sector?

House Republicans plan to vote on a bill in the coming weeks to lift the nation’s 40-year-old ban on oil exports, reports WSJ.

According to WSJ, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) is expected to announce the vote, being scheduled for the last week of September, today at a speech in Houston.

While the legislation is likely to pass the GOP-controlled House, its prospects in the Senate are less clear. The White House hasn’t taken a position on the issue.

Watch the crazed anti-free traders come out on this one.

  1. There won't be free trade, just some different sort of managed trade.
