Chinese Women and The Future of Venture Capital

Earlier this week I attended a venture capital conference here in San Francisco, appropriately enough for this post, the conference was titled, The Future of Venture Capital.

There were probably around 150 people in attendance. Maybe 40% were white men. geeky types. There were 3 or 4 black guys. I would say 20% were Indian, probably another 15% were Asian men,

There weren't many women, except, and this is the interesting part, maybe 20% Chinese women.

These gals looked smart, dressed serious and I am guessing are way on the right-side of the bell curve when it comes to mathematical/financial thinking.

I think I have spotted a trend.

  1. Good eyes, Robert. I've noticed the trend myself.
Of course, they'll get small business preferred loans because they're minority females.

  2. I don't know what that trend might be, but it sounds salacious.
