Men Are Less Wage and Status Conscious When It Comes to Marriage Than High Earning Women

So when it is all said and done, it is high-earning women who are exclusionary.

Bloomberg reports:
High-earning women (doctors, lawyers) tend to pair up with their economic equals, while middle- and lower-tier women often marry up. In other words, female CEOs tend to marry other CEOs; male CEOs are OK marrying their secretaries.

WSJ has a chart that shows who marries CEOs, doctors, chefs and janitors: here.

Economists seem to marry judicial law clerks.

  1. My “women run the world” theme is why I do not think much of the “lifeboat AnCap ethics” debates. AnCap is going to be just like things are today except that you won’t be able to initiate force. Communities will have their own bylaws which control both permitted activities and punishments for violations. Communities will have to compete for customers by providing safe streets, schools, water, insurance, dispute resolution plus extradition and travel agreements with other communities. There will also be unlimited options for lifestyle choices.

Women are not going to allow their kids or families to even visit communities where one might be shot for an inadvertent trespass. People with such “extreme” views of punishment could possibly be excluded from travel on private roads. Everything is going to be negotiated in advance by contract and guided by peer pressure and culture. This can and would occur without any violation of the NAP.

The only way for this process to ever be successful is to “sell” these types of safe communities to women on the “style page”.

  2. The term is "hypergamy." Men are also exclusionary, but in different ways. Men prefer hotter and younger. And High-earning men with game will do very well indeed (eg Donald Trump). If you don't have game, you're just as likely to end up like Mark Zuckerberg or Jeb Bush. Ouch.

  3. Up to a point. I met a very successful guy who's wife ran away with the tow truck driver who fixed her flat tire. And there seems to be a lot of house husbands running around these days. Nothing personal if that's your gig but I'm not sure I buy the lateral thing for successful women.
