Another Thing to Fear From a Donald Trump Presidency?

Holman Jenkins Jr. writes at WSJ:
Mr. Trump’s standpattism on entitlements and pensions implies economy-killing tax hikes down the road at both the federal and local level, which even then will not hold off the need to restructure these promises.
Trump has proposed tax cuts, but his numbers don't add up. They will explode the budget deficit.

What would he do as president, allow the deficit to explode, break his promises on medicare, pensions, etc. or raise taxes?

Maybe all three.

  1. All we can say is that every prediction about Trump has been wrong. At this point none of the viable options is looking very good. But I'm still willing to take a crap shoot on Trump. Either he will be a quick study and try his best to turn things around. Or he will hasten the collapse that we all know is going to happen sooner or later. Sooner probably being better than later.
