Donald Trump Adds 8 Boring Women and One Man to His Economic Advisory Team

Donald Trump has added nine names to his economic advisory team. It's a snooze fest. Like his first list, this one includes a vast majority who are simply business operators, who appear to have no special understanding about the economy or economics.

Nevertheless, there are some crony names on the list that should be noted,  including  Brooke Rollins and  Kathleen Hartnett White

Rollins is the President and CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Kathleen Hartnett White is the Distinguished Senior Fellow and Director of the Armstrong Center for Energy and the Environment at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

The chairman of the foundation is the wife of former Senator Phil Gramm, Wendy Lee Gramm. That should tell you everything you need to know. It's free market advocacy wrapped in cronyism.

Wendy was the former commissioner of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission.  After a lobbying campaign from Enron, the CFTC exempted it from regulation in trading of energy derivatives. Subsequently, Gramm resigned from the CFTC and took a seat on the Enron Board of Directors and served on its (cough, cough) Audit Committee.

The Foundation also has ties to  Rick Perry and Ted Cruz.

Another person on the list, Judy Shelton, was a John McCain supporter in 2008.

The full list of additions is here.

  1. It really is true: there are two Liberal New York Democrats running for President. It's just that one is seriously ill - mentally and physically.
