Breitbart Blasts Trump's Labor Pick

Th Hill reports:
Breitbart News, the outlet that was once run by top Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon, criticized the president-elect’s decision to tap Andy Puzder for Labor secretary, blasting the fast food CEO for preferring “foreign labor to American workers.”

The site, which has become the leading platform for the right-wing populist movement that helped propel Trump to an electoral win, ran a story on Thursday with a headline that claims Puzder “prefers foreign labor to American workers.”
The article notes Puzder’s advocacy for immigration reform, citing a number of op-ed’s and speeches he’s made praising immigrant workers for their willingness to fill difficult jobs.

The site also attacked Puzder for telling GOP donors last year that "our values indicate we should be the party of immigration reform.”

“By ‘immigration reform’ Puzder was referring to a widely-used progressive euphemism that means amnesty and flooding the labor market with foreign workers,” reads the Breitbart article.

Breitbart also takes a dig at Trump, suggesting he is turning his back on the supporters who propelled him into the White House. Puzder, the article states, “stands diametrically opposed to Trump’s signature issues on trade and immigration — which won him the election.”
Like I have said, Puzder appears to be one of Trump's best Cabinet picks.

Of you were wondering whether the Trumpistas want legal immigration or not or whether they are talking from both sides of their mouth on tbe issue of legal immigration, you simply have to read the statement above. Trumpistas are anti-market and anti-capitalistic as they come.

Yesterday, during Bret Bair's show Special Report on Fox News (temporarily hosted by Chris Wallace) Laura Ingraham, the conservative talk radio host, let out a colossal whopper by saying "people talk of tariffs as these evil things but in reality they help correct market failure problems derived from unfair trade practices by foreign governments[...]", standing the concept of Market Failure (a neo-classical and thus fraudulent concept) entirely on its head, at the same time showing that these "conservatives" only pay lip service to markets and capitalism. They all wanted Fascism and that is exactly what they're gonna get if El Presidente Bananero Trumpo heeds their "concerns".

    1. Nailed it.

I really feel like it's becoming apparent that many conservatives' entire notion of "freedom" is completely different from ours. Whereas we see freedom as the optimal means for people to achieve their ends, they instead view freedom not as a means at all, but as an end. And an end that might be achieved by doing unfree things ("First we bomb A, then we embargo B, then we deport C, then we can have 'freedom.'")

When they say "freedom" they're not talking about leaving people alone for moral or prudential reasons. They're talking about using the state to try to build some weird right-wing Heaven on Earth.
