Dr. Richard Lindzen, the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at MIT and a member of the National Academy of Sciences ridiculed the media hyped claims that 2016 was the “hottest year” on record during an interview on The Howie Carr Show.

There are a number of scientists and experts that have "debunked" the 2016 "hottest year" claims. But 2016 was warm. Which should not be surprising based on the cycle of the sun. Solar Cycle 24 seems to have peaked in 2014 and is now heading toward its predicted low in about 2020.
ReplyDeleteDue to the Solar Cycle and the weakening of Earths magnetic field we are likely in for some cooler and wetter weather. That is if Henrik Svensmark and Eigil Fris-Christensen theory that the greater the number of high-energy ions entering Earth’s magnetic field, the greater will be the cloud cover is correct.
