Unless they are brain dead! They should be making 5 to 10 year projections. Disposable income in the South east will keep going up with all the North Eastern people heading to Florida and Tennessee.
I think Raleigh-Durham makes the wisest choice. They have a huge base of technical people there already and there are tons of beautiful acres to pave for homes, apartments, and roads. Amazon would also have their pick of the gentrification-ready Durham, the cool-hipsterish Raleigh, or the down-to-business Cary in-between. The RDU airport is constantly being expanded as well.

ReplyDeleteI too think Raleigh - Durham is best choice. It is already growing as a great IT hub. Beautiful location , relatively inexpensive. Wonderful place.
