I just watched it, and I'm always impressed at how you can explain central banking, monetary policy, etc. in layman's terms.
There are not many who are great at the intersection of economics and finance. Bob is definitely one them, and so are you, sir.

ReplyDeleteBut, regretfully, this is only an echo in our Ancap echo chamber.
We need to move past this.
Either we become MORE precise and all encompassing in our expression of our ideals, OR we broaden our message to attract the uninitiated.
Well, obviously, the latter.
We libertarians can always number the angels on that pin head, but we don't seem to often attract an economic agnostic to our cause.
I mean, if you type in the URL for EconomicPolicyJournal, you're already terminally Ancap.
We need some OUTREACH.
BTW, I do NOT mean watering down our ideals. I think people respond to the real deal, rather than some pandering gruel.

I wish I had some. It took a long time to show that monarchs do not have divine rights; it will also take a long time to convince that democracy is the God that failed.
DeleteIN ADDITION TO THE USUAL IDEALS THERE IS NO LAW SAYING THAT WE CAN'T ANNOUNCE IDEAS THAT WILL ATTRACT THE ATTENTION OF THE MEDIA AND AND THE PEOPLE.
DeleteTHE GOVERMENT SPENDS OUR MONEY. AS LONG AS THEY DO THEY MIGHT AS WELL DO MORE GOOD WITH IT.
To get a government contract you must have an internship program that pays you while in school and teaches a skill and provides a job when you graduate.
E.g. Any state college must have a choice and one of those choices must be CORE curriculum that has two semesters of Western Civilization, two semesters of American History, and one course of American Government. The courses must be taught by adjuncts so we can fire anyone that doesn't doesn't teach in an objective manner. Also two courses in English that teach ENGLISH.
Untill the revolution that ends government schools we should have this as one of the CORE curriculums available. It is one thing to have people spit in your face. It is another matter to be forced to pay people to spit in your face. The professors say that they like choice. Well, here is choice.
