Former Treasury Department Official Shot in the Back of the Head By His Wife

Tony Brown, shot in the back of the head by his wife.
For the record.

Tony Brown,  who was appointed in August 2001 by by Treasury Secretary Paul H. O’Neill as the Director of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund  U.S. Department of Treasury where he led the implementation of the federal New Markets Tax Credit program and directed its initial allocation of $6 billion in tax credit authority, has been shot in the back of the head by his wife.

According to the New York Post, he was shot by his wife over a Google search.

The couple’s source of conflict Monday stemmed from a project they were working on for their business,  T Brown Consulting Group, according to Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.

Lawanda Brown claimed that her husband asked her to search Google for a project template but she became upset with his tone of voice. She told investigators that the last thing she remembered was her husband walking out of the room and then her memory became “a blur.”

Deputies arrived at the home around 1 p.m. to find the man was shot in the back of the head. He was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, according to WPTV.

Brown left the Treasury in February 2003.

The wife was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

    1. Of course its his fault, its not only what you say to a woman but the tone in which you say it.
