In applying for a pardon, you agree that you were wrong, violated the law, and that the government was right. Neither does a pardon remove the conviction from your record. <br /><br />A pardon, however, does restore your Second Amendment rights and I suppose removes the cloud that overhangs a person convicted of a felony.
