The Left Wing-Republican Anti-Geithner Tag Team

Whoa!  It appears that Republican mainstream strategists have identified Treasury Secretary Geithner (along with Larry Summers) as the weakest links in the Obama Administration's overall vulnerability.

MarketWatch reports:

President Barack Obama should call for the resignation of both Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Larry Summers, the head of the White House's national economic team, House Minority Leader John Boehner said Tuesday.

"President Obama should ask for -- and accept -- the resignations of the remaining members of his economic team, starting with Secretary Geithner and Larry Summers," Boehner (R., Ohio) said in an economic address to the City Club of Cleveland.

The comments came as Republicans prepare their economic line of attack ahead of mid-term elections for Congress.

This coincides with an attack from the left that appears to be a strategic attack from pro-Elizabeth Warren forces.

If Geithner is forced out, it would obviously show further weakness in Obama's presidential skills. That's what Republican operatives are looking at. But, although Geithner is not the kind of guy a girl would want to take home to introduce to the parents, the damage that he can inflict on the economy at this point is minimal relative to what a replacement would do. Republicans would do more damage to the economy by working to get him bounced, because of any likely replacement. And also because it would remove Geithner whispering anti-Elizabeth Warren  thoughts into the President's ear.
What needs to happen is more light being shed on nudger, and professional groper, Cass Sunstein.

If there is a guy that needs to be forced out of the administration, it's Sunstein. It is really not clear what the super-secretive Sunstein is up to, but you can be sure he is running multiple 'nudging' efforts and they are all up to no good. Time to shed some sunlight on Sunstein, and forget about this short-term Republican oust Geithner thinking that plays into the hands of the extreme Left Wing pro-Elizabeth Warren forces.

The Obama Administration From Nudge to Grope

To understand what is going on at Logan Airport in Boston and McCarran Airport in Las Vegas, you need to understand something about the Obama Administration. They are big on the "nudge" and now apparently the grope.

Cass Sunstein, a buddy of Obama's from University of Chicago days, is the Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Obama administration. He wrote a book with Richard Thaler called, Nudge: Improving Decisions about Health, Wealth, and Happiness. I discussed this bizarre best seller, here.

In short, Sunstein and Thaler promote the idea that government shouldn't force people to do things, just "nudge" them in that direction, by making it difficult to choose the opposite.

Matt Drudge posted a link to a new pat down method TSA is employing at Logan Airport and McCaron.

The first few paragraphs of the linked article read:

Logan airport security just got more up close and personal as federal screeners launched a more aggressive palms-first, slide-down body search technique that has renewed the debate over privacy vs. safety.

The new procedure - already being questioned by the ACLU - replaces the Transportation Security Administration’s former back-of-the-hand patdown.

Boston is one of only two cities in which the new touchy-feely frisking is being implemented as a test before a planned national rollout. The other is Las Vegas.

“We’re all for good effective security measures,” American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts spokesman Christopher Ott said. “But, in general, we’re concerned about this seemingly constant erosion of privacy, and we wonder whether or not it’s really going to be effective.

“Accepting these kinds of searches may keep people safer in some situations, but not in every situation, and we’re encouraging people to stop and think about what is the right balance between privacy and security,” Ott said.

A TSA spokeswoman yesterday confirmed the switch to what the agency calls an “enhanced patdown.”

“TSA is in the process of implementing an enhanced patdown at security checkpoints as one of our many layers of security,” said Ann Davis, TSA spokeswoman for the Northeast region. “Patdowns are designed to address potentially dangerous items, like improvised explosive devices and their components, concealed on the body.”

The body searches are conducted by same-gender TSA officers, and passengers can request private screenings at any time.

Previously, TSA screeners used patdown motions of their hands to search passengers over their clothes, switching to the backs of their hands over certain ’sensitive’ body areas, such as the torso.

But now the searches will be done using all front-of-the-hand sliding motions over greater areas of passengers’ bodies, including sensitive areas.

At this point, I thought to myself, Sunstein thinks this is a "nudge", he's trying to drive people to use the full body scanners. Sure enough, the article continues:

The TSA implemented the new body-search procedures at Logan and Las Vegas-McCarran because both airports are using the greatest number of the walk-through full-body scanners. Those scanners use low-dose X-rays to produce two-sided, head-to-toe images of passengers’ bodies - including discernible but not distinct images of their private parts - but blur their facial features.

Passengers who opt not to walk through the full-body scanners - which have also been assailed by privacy advocates - must instead walk through a metal detector and submit to a body search.

I'm sure there are plenty more nudges hidden in the ObamaCare health bill and the Dodd-Frank finance bill that we will find out about in due time.

For Sunstein he really seems to be more concerned about animals than humans. Groping by government employees at airports is in, but, at the same time, he believes that animals have the right to sue in court.

He is also big on taxes, Sunstein has argued, “We should celebrate tax day.” He argues that since government protects and preserves property and liberty, individuals should happily finance it with their tax dollars. He writes:

In what sense is the money in our pockets and bank accounts fully ‘ours’? Did we earn it by our own autonomous efforts? Could we have inherited it without the assistance of probate courts? Do we save it without the support of bank regulators? Could we spend it if there were no public officials to coordinate the efforts and pool the resources of the community in which we live? Without taxes, there would be no liberty. Without taxes there would be no property. Without taxes, few of us would have any assets worth defending. [It is] a dim fiction that some people enjoy and exercise their rights without placing any burden whatsoever on the public… There is no liberty without dependency.

Sunstein goes on to say:

If government could not intervene effectively, none of the individual rights to which Americans have become accustomed could be reliably protected. [...] This is why the overused distinction between "negative" and "positive" rights makes little sense. Rights to private property, freedom of speech, immunity from police abuse, contractual liberty and free exercise of religion—just as much as rights to Social Security, Medicare and food stamps—are taxpayer-funded and government-managed social services designed to improve collective and individual well-being.

In other words, Sunstein writes about the government nudge, has implemented the government grope, but is really all about the government grab.

How ObamaCare Will End Up with Bernie Madoff Types in Charge of Your Diagnosis and Treatment

The real story about ObamaCare is that it will eventually result in a dramatic decline in the quality of healthcare in the United States. It will also kill creativity and innovation in the field of healthcare. The bill is driven by some very evil people in the Obama Administration. They are power freaks of the first degree, who want to control your life.

The lead power freaks, after Obama himself, are ethicist Ezekiel Emanuel and "nudger" Cass Sunstein.

Emanuel believes it is government who should decide who gets care, when and how much. Sunstein is the operative who knows that Emanuel's real plan would be rejected out of hand by the American people, so he has set up and designed ObamaCare so that it nudges America towards Emanuel's goals without most Americans realizing what is going on.

The end goal is a national healthcare program. It will lower the life expectancy of Americans. Eventually, the decline in expectancy will be dramatic.

Here is why.

ObamaCare, among lots of other expensive items, calls for:

A set up of a long-term care program under which people pay premiums into a system for at least five years and become eligible for support payments if they need assistance in daily living.

Medicaid, the federal-state program for the poor, expands to all Americans with income up to 133% of federal poverty level.

These entitlements, and others, are very costly. Even without these entitlements, the government budget is out of control. However, the lobbyists in the healthcare industry will lobby for useless treatments that individuals will not be able to understand. Think of the entire healthcare system becoming a decision making force like the one that resulted in the absurd H1N1 flu vaccine.

It will be very difficult for most to understand what treatments are needed, or should be demanded, and what are planted lobbyist H1N1 type treatments that would not be justified, or called for, in a free medical industry. The industry will eventually become indoctrinated with true believers who don't think for themselves, but are good at following orders. They will also consider themselves as superior to their patients. Think TSA agents in medical garb. The rules will become absurd, but don't dare question.

In this circus atmosphere, there will be no cuts in total healthcare. Any savings in one area will be more than absorbed by lobbyists skillfully and shrewdly capturing the government healthcare agencies, for the products of their clients, whether or not we really need the products.

The same way Bernie Madoff schmoozed the SEC and the same way Goldman Sachs sticks its tentacles into the government, the healthcare lobbyists will do the same to the government healthcare agencies. Except, this time it will be your health at risk and not your money. Well, I guess it WILL be your money, also, since you will have to pay for the madness.

Eventually, it will be a Bernie Madoff type schmoozers who will end up deciding how you are diagnosed and treated. This will result in costs that will grow dramatically out of control. One could argue that the nudger, Cass Sunstein, designed it on purpose this way.

This is why ObamaCare has an "Independent" Medicare board that will submit recommendations to curb Medicare spending, if costs are rising faster than inflation. No question, they will climb faster under this mad design. It will then be blamed on "greedy" free market insurance companies and healthcare providers. But, if this has anything to do with free markets, then I'm sure the post office really invented email, the internet and Twitter.

Once the Medicare board comes into play, the evil nudger will begin to play in his mad laboratory to eliminate competition and nudge the country towards national care. The recommendations will call for controls on the "greedy" insurance companies and healthcare providers. It will wipe nudge many out of business. But it will never end up damaging the Bernie Madoff types, the schmoozers. The recommendations will damage everyone else because that's what the Bernie Madoff type schmoozers will want. Until in the end, the only ones left standing under ObamaCare are the friends of Obama, Sunstein and Emanuel. It will be a quasi-national healthcare program under the influence of the Bernie Madoff types and power freaks.

This, my friends, is going to be the health system that is being set up to diagnose and treat you.

Getting Nudged, Real Hard

In a 57-40 vote, President Obama's nominee, Cass Sunstein, was confirmed as Director to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

Don't let the humble title of the position fool you. This is a very powerful position, with a very power hungry man in the position. Any thought you had remaining, that this country in the future will be anything like your grandfather's country, will surely be destroyed after you learn what Sunstein is all about.

Sunstein believes animals should be allowed to sue their owners.

He believes that "A system of limitless individual choices with respect to communications is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government."

In his 2005 book "Radicals in Robes: Why Extreme Right-Wing Courts are Wrong for America" he writes, "[A]lmost all gun control legislation is constitutionally fine. And if the Court is right, then fundamentalism does not justify the view that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to bear arms."

Now, he is in a position to force his beliefs on America. He calls it nudging, and co-wrote the book,Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness. Wealth and happiness? Not with this guy around. Glenn Beck has done an excellent job of explaining how Sunstein wants to nudge you:

Here's what his job is. He doesn't want to change the laws. All he wants to do is just tweak the regulations. So the laws are passed and then he tweaks the regulations. We've seen this ‑‑ this is what's happening right now in California with the farmers. The animals have to be saved. The smelt, a four‑inch fish, the smelt needs to be saved. Farmers can't use that much water. So they've reduced the water supply to farms by, what is it, 80 or 90%. Well, the farmers ‑‑ this is an area now that has 28 to 40% unemployment. The farmers cannot farm. They don't have enough water. All for the smelt. That is what a regulatory czar does: Well, let's just ‑‑ he can't have that much water. He turns the knobs, 5% here, 3% here, 8% here, 12% here. And before you know it, well, for instance, he doesn't want you to eat meat. He thinks it's wrong. We shouldn't have cattle slaughtered and sheep and lamb. That's wrong. So let's make sure that he oversees the fish and wildlife department regulations. Let's make sure that we tweak those regulations. Oh, there's a bucktooth beaver mouse that happens to go into the grazing lands. Well, that animal, they have a right to property, and, and they're endangered. So let's tweak that a bit. Let's make those grazing lands a little more difficult for people to control, a little more difficult for you to graze your cattle on. We just tweak that a little bit. I'm not saying that we're stopping cattle ranches. That's crazy talk. Let me just quick it, making it more difficult. Oh, and by the way, I'm going to regulate a little more on the feed and the grain that are fed to the cattle. And we need to get in with the FDA, we need to have a little stiffer regulations on the way our inspections are done and the butchering of the cattle and let's just tweak just a little bit on how it's transported. Before you know it, your $8 steak is now $25. Well, he hasn't done anything. He's just made it harder for farmers to make and grow cows to give you beef. This is the way it ends.

With Ezekiel Emanuel nudging health care regs and Sunstein nudging everything else, this country is going to be a former shell of itself, before election time comes around to throw Obama and his nudgers out.

This is serious stuff that I don't think even all free market advocates get. This isn't just throwing an additional tax on somewhere, or changing a minor regulation for some corporation (although I venture to think that even most in Congress think that this is what is going on). It is about some very evil people taking control of the government and running your life and mine.

You have no idea, neither do I, what they're building. But it ain't about health and it ain't about care. There is no compromise on anything. Engines at full stop. The republic is at stake, and there are too many people playing too many games. There are too many people playing ‑‑ they don't understand. They're willing to compromise because they're still playing the game as the game has always been played. The game was wrong in the first place, and the game is about to be over.
