Obama Might Pursue Criminal Charges Against Bush

Elna Schor reports for Guardian.co.uk:

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said yesterday that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

Biden's comments, first reported by ABC news, attracted little notice on a day dominated by the drama surrounding his Republican counterpart, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

But his statements represent the Democrats' strongest vow so far this year to investigate alleged misdeeds committed during the Bush years.

"If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued," Biden said during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, according to ABC.

"[N]ot out of vengeance, not out of retribution," he added, "out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president -- no one is above the law."

  1. Now this is some funny stuff......like that will ever happen. Unless of course the are going to sacrifice Bush.....which is not beyond reason considering the Tecumseh curse.....LOL.......what a joke. These clowns are cut from the exact same cloth. Makes me want to vomit.

  2. Now it will be a falls flag operation to stop election and declare a marshal law, so they never go to jail.

  3. If they really do that, they will instantly become a hero to millions of Americans, including me. But, paint me cynical if you will, I am not going to hold my breath in anticipation of this or anything like this ever happening here in the red, white, and blue land of the free and the home of the brave!

  4. There's a reason Cheney is pushing like a mad man for a last-minute war in the Caucuses and Iran. Nobody seems to be paying attention to the battle groups collecting in the region and the nuclear threats being bandied about. --Or the fact that Georgia initiated the current crisis with the blessings and perhaps even the instructions of the Bush admin, and at the very least, certainly the armaments and training provided by the U.S. and Israel.

How can there be a prosecution for war crimes if the war doesn't end and no civil courts have any power?

Rabid dogs backed into a corner.

  6. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Democrats: If you will just let the village-idiot Joe Biden keep spewing this ridiculous liberal drivel, and if you will go for the throat of Sara Palin, the Republicans will dance into the White House again and the Democrats will, once again, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

It just couldn't be funnier if SNL scripted it.

  7. REVOLUTION is the Solution!!!

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson, in letter to William S. Smith, 1787

  11. If these 2 liberals would put that in writing I belive that I would consider voting for them, but I belive they will pardon the entire Bush administration and the biggest criminals in American history will just walk away.

These words by Joe Biden come to mind "I am a Zionist, you dont have to be Jewish to be a Zionist"
    I do not trust Zionists.

  14. I will believe it when I see it. (Obama bringing charges against Bush.) What I'd also like to know is this...
If obama pursues criminal charges against Bush, will he also go after Cheny, Rummy, Rice and most importantly, the puppet masters? Don't think for one minute that this ends with Bush. Someone is pulling his strings. If he is charged, the puppet masters still get away with it.

  15. I won't hold my breath on this...even if they appear to do something in the end the guilty will get pardoned. I doubt if the election will happen as scheduled, since Bu$hCo is pusing us into WW3.
-Yeah, "liberal", isn't there a beer waiting for you somewhere? (hint: it's next to the TV, a-hole)

  16. Memo to Joe: Articles of impeachment have already been introduced. That would be 35 counts. Bugliosi has already testified before congress, Bush should be tried for MURDER. What would uou like to add to this 8yrs into a criminal operation this size? Little late wouldn't you say?

he said it himself: even if he prosocuted bush it would just be to uphold the 'notion' that no one is above the law.... not for the fact that they committed any crime, but to keep everyone believing we live in a functioning country. It's all about appearances.

  18. To paraphrase this Obama statement, "Please sheep believe that I represent REAL choice this (s)election cycle"

Seems like the Masters are having a perception problem as most of the general population has signed off on their REALLY BIG SHOW.

  19. Senator Biden has just, foolishly and courageously, signed his own death sentence. Why does he think Al Gore went gently into the night after he WON the elections? Because he didn't want to become president? He almost certainly received a death threat from Bush's string-pullers. And now poor Biden, who should know better, has crossed the line!

  20. Well, it's a switch from arranging pardons in advance...

  21. I can be converted by talk such as this. Less talk, more action.

    Yes.

This is obvious, and only the complicity of the Speaker keeps the Constitution from being the basis of our existence.
