Carney Busted; Explains

A recently leaked list of attendees to a meeting held by the powerful billionaire Koch brothers is causing problems for some of the attendees, who thought they would be able to attend the meeting in secret.

Now that the list has been leaked, Washington Examiner columnist, Tim Carney, has gone so far as to write a column admitting that he gave a speech at the meeting and that he was "invited to speak on the condition of confidentiality, but now that the guest list is out there, I’ll fess up. Yes, I was the speaker at a dinner."

Other names that have come to light as attendees, because of the leaked list, include: Glenn Beck, Karl Rove operative/fundraiser David Malek, Denver-based billionaire and owner of, The Weekly Standard, Phil Anschutz, Steve Bechtel, Ed Meese, Peter Schiff and Steve Moore, a member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board.

  3. I love the effusive tones of distress in the "voice" of the writer, like this is such an awful, terrible collection of demons eating children.

This is just the other face of the Party of State Power, exactly like the "liberal" front groups, ACORN anyone?, who make sure that there are busses and signs for people to come from all around to "spontaneous" protests against anything like a tax or spending cut.

  6. I've never had a bit of doubt about Peter Schiff, he's never strayed from his message and he speaks with the passion of conviction. His inclusion here is confusing and a little worrisome.

  7. I've never had any doubt about Schiff- obviously he knows his stuff, and he seems to be a man of principle. However, he has seemed uninterested in or dismissive of "conspiracy theories" in the past. Maybe he's just naive, but his inclusion here is worrisome.

  8. Gotta agree with Anonymous "October 21, 2010 1:39 PM"

I was reading the comments from the link and I couldn't help but just laugh. Glenn Beck is a moron but John Stewart, now he's a smart guy LOL. If we got a leaked memo from a Soros fundraiser we'd see the liberal counterpart to these guys.

Schiff being there did kinda jump out.

It's just amazing how neatly divided everything is...almost as if it was planned that way o_O

  9. Schiff would be the perfect mole for the rest of us to figure out what these guys are planning...

  10. There are some videos out where Schiff discusses how "we" need to be careful of Iran. He maybe a "Ron Paul" type of libertarian when it comes to economic issues, but he strikes me more of "Koch" beltway libertarian type when it comes to politics. Tough to say...there's a contradiction here...that he needs to sort-out...either you believe in Corporatocracy (big-business and big-gov...as in military industrial complex, etc.) or you dont.

  11. I'll give Schiff a pass. I mean, would you pass up the opportunity to see what these a--holes are discussing?

  12. I believe a person is innocent until proven guilty and one cannot be guilty merely due to the cohorts he associates with so why doesn't someone simply ask Mr. Schiff what he was doing at the Brothers Koch gathering? Judge Andrew Napolitano had an excellent opportunity to do so when Schiff appeared on his October 23 television program, "Freedom Watch". His Honor missed the opportunity. Schiff may also provide an answer anytime during his own radio show if someone would bother to ask the pertinent question.
