Ron Paul's Stock Portfolio

He puts his money where his views are. It's chock full of gold stocks. He also is bearish on the stock market. He holds two exchange traded funds that will go up in value if the stock market goes down, Rydex-Ursa Mutual Fund and Prudent Bear Mutual Fund.

Today is the required filing date for  members of Congress to turn in their personal financial disclosure reports. They are all here.

Here's Ron Paul's portfolio:

Agnico Eagle Mines
Allied Nevada Gold Corp.
Alumina Common
Anglo Gold Ashanti Ltd.
BrigusGold Corp. Com MPV (formerly Apollo Gold Corp)
Barrick Gold Corp.
Claude Research Inc
Coeur D'Alene Mines Corp.
Dundee Bancorp
First National Bank of Lake Jackson
Gold Corp Inc
Hecla Mining Co.
El Dorado Gold Corp.
IAM Gold Corp.
Kinross
Lexam Explorations Inc.
Mag Silver Corp.
Metalline Mining Co.
Mutual Securities Inc.
Newmont Mining Corp.
Pan American Silver
Petrol Oil and Gas
Prudent Bear Mutual Fund
Rydex Dynamic Venture
Rydex-Ursa Mutual Fund
Silver Wheaton Corp
Texas Dow Employees Credit Union
Texas Gulf Bank
Virginia Mines Inc.
Vista Gold Corp.
Viterra Inc
Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd.

(Note: Bank and Credit Union positions listed could be cash accounts held by Dr. Paul at the banks)

Dr. Paul has held many of these positions for many years, so his portfolio has done very nicely for him.

  3. Here's Barney Frank's:

    Under Schedule VI - Gifts:

Source: Rep. Chellie Pingree (ME-01) and her [sic] fiance [Mr. Donald Sussman

Description: First Class Round Trip Travel by Private Aircraft - Washington, DC to United States Virgin Islands

    Value: $2000

So hedge fund mogul Sussman takes Frank to the Virgin Isles with the woman whose campaign he just financed. Value: priceless.

  7. Hi!, Fellow Americans:

Sense Dr. Paul is in my mind a Conservative Libertarian, it would be welcomed information, if it could be diclosed what the portfolios of some of our less than Libertarian Democratic and Republican party members look like wouldn't it?
Would their portfolios also show them hedged against the consequences of their very own congressional actions too?

Now that would be a very interesting way to smoke out the rats, eh?

  12. Hope I don't bore you with any of this and I agree this man's portfolio is a shinning example of what grade school children can have mastered by the time they finish high-school. However, they must have one condition present for that to happen, a decent government, teachers, and parents who insist on the optimal development of a certain kind of individual!
That obviously has not happened and though I have strong feelings as to why, I will leave those among you who continue to elect and re-elect these 'leaders' whose influence we daily suffer to "figure it out for yourself!" as Joan Crawford reportedly told her adopted eight year old Christina.

Daniel Patrick Mohynihan once commented that communities that tolerated woman dominated households with no proper male authority would
experience well deserved chaos. However, the
senator failed to foresee that so called democracies that fail to properly educate its
own people let alone immigrants in self develop-
ment and tell the truth about its history will
suffer consequences even worse than the lazy
folks in the ghetto with weak males begging for what they should have been taught early on to fight for and win their place in life as equals
with any other people in the earth!

of a certain kind of of individual. The kind of
individual this 'Republic' whose revered consti-
tution mentions not a damned thing about being a 'democracy' or having any intention of the
development of any such kind of person as would be capable of even imagining constructing such a
portfolio. The Jekyll Island folks and J. P. Morgan proved that when they conspired to form a central banking system here! Daniel Patrick Mohynihan once remarked that a people that tolerate in their own communities woman headed households with no proper male authority will experience well deserved chaos! He failed to indicate any foreknowledge that I'm aware of that will prove that any so called 'democracy' that fails to properly educate its own people, let alone immigrants and tell all of the truth of significant occurrences in its own history will suffer consequences even worse!

Apparently the fact that any 'weathervane' can
become presidetn regardless of color (or sex no
doubt in the coming election, or perhaps even
regardless of sex preference if you don't count
Mrs. Wilson who ran things after Woodrow had a mental breakdown, or James Buchanan!)

  13. A study was published years ago in the Financial Times showing that US Congressmen/women in their PUBLISHED trusts perform better on average than Buffet (whose father was a Senator and has had plenty of inside info and juice to help his already 'sharp' mind profit)! And that does not include the HIDDEN investments and trusts that the US politicans have where they hide their serious money ... and the money they make under the table that they NEVER paid any tax on whilt they scam and bleed the average American as if it were a veal calf.
