Rand Paul: The Truth is Reid, Boehner Plans Will Add $7 To $8 Trillion To Debt

Senator Rand Paul tells it like it is. The accounting on the Reid and Boehner plans are phony. There's a multi-trillion increasing baseline. The Reid and Boehner plans only cut some of the baseline increase. There are no real cuts.

"Both of these plans will add somewhere between $7 to $8 trillion over 10 years. The real disservice to the American people is they need to be honest about their accounting up here," Rand Paul told Neill Cavuto on FOX News.

"None of these cut spending, none of these cuts the deficit. Both plans will add $7 to $8 trillion. I don't think our country can withstand that addition of new debt," said Rand.

The video is here.

  1. I hope that the American people get out of their coma and finally realize that secession is the only answer to all these problems of debt, central planning and our growing militaristic police state.

The people of the Soviet Union decentralized, and that is what the U.S.S.A. needs to do.

  2. We did decentralize, but unfortunately now we've joined another Union - the European Union. It is slowly but surely moving towards the same direction. It's like we can't fkng be normal... we need to be part of some fked up Union all the time. Be it NATO, UN, EU or whateva... they all want to dictate our lives.

There were several former USSR countries that wanted to create a money based on gold standard. Guess what? The IMF did NOT allow it, so that's why most of the countries tied their currencies to Deutsche Mark or something else. And now they all have this stupid euro, which is sinking as we speak.

Is it even possible for a country to do whatever they want? Is it even possible that IMF, EU, NATO or whatever god damn institution/country would stay the hell out of our lives? I guess we could have tried to establish a gold standard anyway, but we'd probably be one of those ''terrorist nations'' now with American and European troops on our soil... killing our women and children.

  3. Scott, I think that secession is much more viable as an idea/option than it was 10 years ago. Bringing it up used to be met with derision, but now it seems many people are at least willing to discuss its merits. As the police state expands, and the economy shrinks, the idea will look even more attractive in a few years.

I read an article about how an idea goes from >10% of the population to mass acceptance once it crosses a certain popular threshold, provided it has passionate support from that 10%. I think we get closer every day to that tipping point.

  4. As we've always seen the only good transition is toward property rights and the rule of law.

  5. QUIT LYING TO US YOU PINHEADS!!

HERE IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. FIRST WE NEED SOME ACCOUNTING FOLKS TO LIST ALL THE ANNUAL COSTS THAT MAKE UP THE BUDGET BY MAJOR CATEGORY, THEN BREAK EACH CATEGORY DOWN INTO THE MAIN COMPONENT PARTS. THEN TAKE EACH COMPNENT AND TAKE A KNIFE, A SCALPEL OR WHATEVER TO EACH SUB ITEM AND MAKE SUBSTANTIAL CUTS WHERE NECESSARY. ADD UP ALL THE CUTS AND SHOW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE EACH CUT BY ITEM AND THEN OF COURSE THE TOTAL.. IT HAD BETTER GET REAL, REAL CLOSE TO THE 1.4 OR 1.5 TRILLION THAT WE OVERSPEND EACH YEAR SO THAT WE GET AS CLOSE AS WE CAN TO A BALANCE BUDGET.

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

WHAT A WAY TO RUN A COUNTRY. THE SAD THING IS THAT "BIG EARS" HAS NEVER EVEN RAN A WATERMELON STAND. HE HAS NO IDEA WHATSOEVER AS TO WHERE TO BEGIN. HE IS TOTALLY USELESS.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

  6. Sen. Rand Paul finally says it like it really is. Quite refreshing!

  7. I concur with Scott Lazarowitz. The larger the democratic political organization, the more people must be unhappy (about 49%). If the democracies split up, the resulting diversification lets folks migrate to where there are "birds of a feather."

Also, the bigger the union, the more damage is done when the leader(s) make mistakes. And don't forget, the union is not sacred, its primary purpose is power. That power can be usurped for the benefit of a few. Given time, it always works out that way. The only hope for the good of the people is to genuinely renew, remake, and revolt (not in that order).
