HOT: Top Navy, Air Force and Army Officials Removed in Greece

Things are  moving at an extraordinary fast pace in Greece.

The latest news from the Athen News in Greece is that:
In a surprise move, on Tuesday evening the defence minister replaced the country’s top brass. An extraordinary meeting of the Government Council of Foreign Affairs and Defence (Kysea), which comprises the prime minister and other key cabinet members, accepted Defence Minister Panos Beglitis' proposal that the following changes be made to army, navy and air force and the general staff:
  • General Ioannis Giagkos, chief of the Greek National Defence General Staff, to be replaced by Lieutenant General Michalis Kostarakos
  • Lieutenant General Fragkos Fragkoulis, chief of the Greek Army General Staff, to be replaced by lieutenant general Konstantinos Zazias
  • Lieutenant General Vasilios Klokozas, chief of the Greek Air Force, to be replaced by air marshal Antonis Tsantirakis
  • Vice-Admiral Dimitrios Elefsiniotis, chief of the Greek Navy General Staff, to be replaced by Rear-Admiral Kosmas Christidis
It is understood that the personnel changes took many members of the government and of the armed forces by surprise.
Clearly, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou  is taking extraordinary steps to maintain control in Greece. All other political parties have condemned the replacement of the military officers. The current Greek government is likely on the edge of collapse.

  3. Fetz-

(my iPad tried to replace your name with "feta"- how funny)

They are trying to keep "it" together so the IMF/BIS/global bankster cabal can solidify plans to introduce a "world currency" when the dollar and euro die. They are trying to use this crisis to convince people that a global currency- SDR or whathaveyou- will be superior to national currencies. They know people are becoming enamored with the idea of returning to a free-market gold standard, and that must not happen.

Things are happening too quickly, and their plans are looking to be for naught, so they are panicked. Cornered rabid animals will do bad things- I hope they don't try to distract the world by starting WW3 (or would this be 4, or just a continuation/escalation of the GWOT?) between Israel and Iran, or India/Pakistan, or Russia/India...their depravity knows no bounds.

    Interesting times...

  4. Yes, I know. But, we both know what the result will ultimately be. The one thing that I do like about the times that we live in is that information travels in seconds and that we still have access to the largest archive of information ever known to man.

War is definitely a current concern of mine, as well as societal unrest/upheaval.

    That's why.

  6. this was a masterstroke on Papandreou's, while everyone else was for either leading Greeks into the poor house, he can pose as a defender of the Greek people or an upholder of European unity, inspite of what happens.

  7. I wonder how close the Greek military were to launching a coup...now would be the time they would do something like that.
