Mitt Romney Runs Ad Promising to Raise Taxes on Himself

The ad says he is going to close loopholes on millionaires, apparently like the loopholes he takes advantage of. That is not going to happen.

The real answer, of course, is not to close loopholes, but to cut taxes for everyone and cut government spending.

Romney will do none of this. He is a lying elitist interventionist.

    1. Yeah, let's spend way more money and hire way more police state thugs to remove people we don't deem worthy of living here.

Nothing tyrannical or statist about that. Nope.

  3. Yeah, right. I'm a tax guy so I would love to know what those loop holes are. Dividends tax preference? Capital Gains tax preference? Muni interest tax preference? Charitable contribution of appreciated property? That's about it for the big ones. So far not even the so called "fair share" crowd have been willing to tackle all of these, save the dividend tax. For some reason the even the fair share people seem to think its ok for preferences to be given on these types of income proving what a fraud their idea of fairness is. But anyway, why would Mitt be willing to go even further than these frauds? I don't think so.

  4. This is where the Pure Libertarian jumps in and chastises RW for saying to cut taxes and not to eliminate them altogether and then accuses him of validating the system.
