The Chilling Effect on Social Media (Connecticut State Police Edition)

To be noted, it appears that many of the tangential inaccuracies during the breaking hours of the Sandy Hill Elementary School tragedy came from MSM, the biggies. I found it odd that NBC, MSNBC and CNN were able to break details that local reporters, who were on the scene didn't seem to have.

Then, while monitoring a local CT television station, one of the anchors cleared up my befuddlement. He said during a discussion that the majors were getting their info from long established connections within the FBI. Thus, the chain of events that likely led to mis-identifying Ryan Lanza as the killer, instead of his brother, Adam, probably went like this: FBI to MSM contact.

I await to see if the CT state police go after the FBI or MSM for providing false information, with the same energy that they seem to be so eager to use against "social media."

  1. "perpetrating information"? So now information is a crime? What a bozo.

  2. LT Vance came on with so much bluster that I laughed when watching him on TV. It's sickening to watch everybody from LT Vance to the FBI to the President jockeying to get their 15 minutes of fame out of this tragedy. This case is pretty much open and shut. The only thing to watch is how long the media can play this out to boost their ratings.

  3. Rush Limbaugh, just this morning, catalogued the many factual errors coming from the MSM in this case. Just about everything that was "known" and "confirmed" was wrong, we later learned.

I agree with Anonymous; this is beyond belief. Will this tyrant prosecute the big networks and other 'official' purveyors of false information in this case. If not, why not?

  5. CT state cop: Don't consider this chickens coming home to roost for the violence that our government commits around the world and at home. There is no correlation between an increasing trend in the senseless violent acts of civilian citizens and the fact that America is being driven into banana-republic status by central-state control.
