Mitch McConnell Slings Dirt at Matt Bevin

I told you this was going to be a good one---and the primary is still almost a year away. Here's what Jesse Benton has come up with, while holding his nose.

In the below McConnell ad, McConnell charges that his primary challenger Matt Bevin lied about his college education record.

The 30-second spot is based on an article in The Hill newspaper that was published in March, stating Bevin had listed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the top of his educational profile on his LinkedIn page. MIT officials told The Hill that the program Bevin had listed on his career profile was not affiliated with the university.

"Newspapers say Bevin was dishonest about his resume, claiming he graduated from prestigious MIT," the ad's narrator said. "Not true again. Bevin never attended MIT, and MIT has no record of Bevin." 

WUKY reports Bevin's campaign says the ad amounts to McConnell's "latest pack of lies." The campaign says Bevin attended the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program from 2006 to 2008, and says that's the name printed on the certificate he received for finishing the program.
