Adam Kokesh Broadcast Program Shut Down

Following news earlier this month that Judge Patricia A. Broderick has once again denied Adam Kokesh bond, the Adam Kokesh Vs. the Man program has been suspended.

The web site announces:
The decision to suspend AVTM did not come lightly, but unfortunately it is the only logical course of action, since the lease in Herndon is up.Adam’s body of work will continue to be promoted, but up to the minute details of his case are no longer requisite. In order to utilize the bulk of the funds for legal expenses, Adam requested that the show take a hiatus.
In the battle of Adam versus the man, score one for the man. Open direct confrontation against the state makes little sense. Noam Chomsky said it best, "I don't want to speak truth to power. I want to speak truth to the people."

Kokesh's next court dates are as follows:

Fairfax:
10/02/2013 02:00 PM
DC:
10/07/2013 09:30 AM Felony Status Conference
10/24/2013 09:30AM Jury Trial

  1. Nice Chomsky quote. Nonetheless, tyrants imprison and execute truth-tellers for speaking to the people, too. If the people are listening, that is.

Kokesh's problem is that he produced an angry video flaunting an apparent "firearms violation" that the typical DC juror will see as threatening. This video will be Exhibit 1 in his trial. I suppose he figured the video would be a good publicity stunt, and for a time it was. He has a long history of video recording his civil disobedience so perhaps he thought this would be just one more. But the DC prosecutors smelled blood.

    Please keep us posted.

  2. Thanks for the updates Wenzel, so far other than Adam's team your the only well known libertarian that actually keeps up with this. In a way its kind of sad considering the amount of support Kokesh has I would've expected more big libertarian sites covering this along side you. Then again I am a cynic

  3. What I don't get is...if we eliminated too big to fail, would you really need evenhandedness requirements for non profitable banking institutions in the first place? We don't put capital necessities on firms and they hardly ever let themselves get overleveraged. More importantly, very rarely do creditors LET them get overleveraged. News
