Neocon Bolton: I’d ‘vote no’ on Syria strike

If former Ambassador to the UN John Bolton were a member of Congress, he said Tuesday that he’d vote against a plan to use military strikes in Syria, reports Politico.

“I think if I were a member of Congress I would vote against an authorization to use force here. I don’t think it is in America’s interest. I don’t think we should in effect take sides in the Syrian conflict,” Bolton said on “Fox and Friends.”

  2. This guy makes Dick Cheney look like a peacenik. If he doesn't want to go in there then maybe, just maybe, it isn't going to be as simple as Obama, Kerry, McCain, and Graham are saying.

  5. If there was a Republican President, Bolton would be advocating for going into Syria guns a blazing. This is pretty surprising that he voted No. Doesn't look like it will matter though, as the one party system (Boehner, Cantor, Pelosi) have all voiced support for attacks.

  6. He obviously left out the last part of the sentence, which was "...until there is a Republican in office"
