BREAKING: Investigations of Ron Paul Campaign Staffers Are Going Well Beyond Iowa

Ron Paul supporters brace yourself. I am hearing that investigations, into staffers who were part of the Ron Paul 2012 campaign, are going well beyond Iowa and Kent Sorenson.

A federal investigation is apparently on going as well as an investigation in a state other then Iowa. I understand questions are being asked about top 2012 RP campaign staffers.

This is going to be a punch in the gut for Ron Paul supporters, but please, please keep in mind that Ron Paul and "Ron Paul, Inc." are two different entities. Ron Paul is all about promoting liberty, "Ron Paul, Inc." is about political scheming.

  1. So, they found a way to attack the liberty movement. To them, it's anti-establishment movement. Maybe even legitimate, though I'm sure if investigations were to be done in other campaigns, say Hillary's, they would find questionable stuff as well. *sigh* OK, we have to prepare our arguments. They're going to try to pin RP with this one at least with ethics.

  2. This is the tool they will use to discredit him, regardless of the veracity of the actual charges implicating him directly in anything at all. If you can't destroy the man himself...

  3. watch carefully if any of the staffers receive plea offers in exchange for testimony against Ron. One cannot help but to wonder if the staffers were not sent into the RP campaign with this ultimate purpose in mind.

  4. Oh, please. When will Ron Paul get ANY blame for problems that surround him, or is Ron Paul an inherently flawless being? If Ron Paul and "Ron Paul, Inc." are so different, then how do you explain the following:
    1) Ron Paul did not outright fire, demote, or publicly reprimand Jesse Benton. If Benton indeed was so injurious to the campaign, then why didn't Ron Paul do something about him? He was either oblivious (ie incompetent) to how Benton's schemes harmed the liberty movement -- and he shouldn't have been given that people on here and in other places were warning about Benton; or he agreed with Benton, which makes him a part of the so-called "Ron Paul, Inc." So Ron Paul is either incompetent or a part of Ron Paul, Inc. I acknowledge that perhaps a third option here is that he felt a personal familial tie to Benton, which is at least less egregious than the other two possibilities.
    2) Ron Paul's campaign used trademark law to uncover political dissenters who posted the "Chinaman Jon Huntsman" video. He was rightfully laughed out of court, but it's so sad that someone who is so pro free speech -- especially of the anonymous, political kind -- would be willing to use IP law uncover people who don't like him. Mr. "We don't have a first amendment so that we can talk about the weather" sure makes it seem that way when it comes to him and his campaign; when it’s about them, political dissent will be met with a swift legal rebuke. If Romney or McCain had tried this tactic to uncover pro-Ron Paul people, they would be demonized by almost all circles of the liberty movement, as they should be. Again, Ron Paul was either oblivious/incompetent or he willingly agreed to employ this tactic. Familial ties are not an issue here.

  5. Not going to be a big deal, if you want to talk scandal it's about as big as someone forgetting to tie their show before they go jogging.

    Campaigns are always problems
