Daily Beast: Jesse Benton is Probably a Genius

As Rand Paul's sellout becomes more and more obvious (SEE: Fitsnews: Rand Paul's Sellout Picks Up Momentum and The NeoCons Around Rand Paul: A Look at Rand's Foreign Policy Advisers) mainstream media intensifies its coverage of  everything Rand. The latest comes in a puff piece by The Daily Beast that profiles Jesse Benton as genius political operative who may unite the entire damn Republican Party.

This is a curious thing coming from the generally left-leaning Beast. This is how they usually treat Ron Paul:

Ron Paul's Insane Asylum

So what is really going on and how far from reality is it to consider Benton a genius in bloom?

The insider reports from those attending top strategy meetings during the Ron Paul 2102 campaign are that  Trygve Olson used to whisper into Benton's ear what he should say at the meetings. Yes, this  Trygve Olson (my highlight)
In a nutshell, the word on the street is that Jesse Benton has been heavily influenced by a guy named Trygve Olson.  (That name just gets me every time I type it.)  Olson has been known for his career as, essentially, a guy who comes in and co-opts political movements.  And he was sent by Mitch McConnell to the Rand Paul campaign back in 2010.  I can’t believe this escaped my conspiracy radar, but here it is.  Benton ran Rand’s Senate campaign, and apparently has been taking cues from Olson all throughout this election season.
From the puff piece:
“What Jesse is trying to do has never been tried by a political operative at such a high level: bringing together the two wings of the Republican Party,” said Scott Jennings, former deputy political director in President George W. Bush’s White House, a former top aide to McConnell and the man now advising the senator’s super PACs from his firm in Louisville...

Got that?

A lieutenant in the Bush family, Jennings,  is  hinting at what a genius Benton might be.

Here's Jennings in a tweet using Rand Paul to prop up the establishment, elitist, crony Mitch McConnell:

Bottom line: Benton isn't unifying anything. The behind the scenes operators like Olson and Jennings are co-opting the political wing of the libertarian movement.  Rand may very well be viewed as the next Reagan, and I don't mean that in a positive sense. SEE: Rand Paul versus Murray Rothbard on Ronald Reagan. The establishment operatives are in control and that's why the Beast has no problem promoting Benton. You see, it is all about who is whispering into Jesse's ear.

Ron Paul campaign chairman Jesse Benton is going to head up the campaign of Mitch McConnell. Gee, now why did those incorrigible naysayers have so many unkind words for him?

People who said Benton was positioning himself all along for bigger things in the GOP were scoffed at. Why, Jesse has a secret plan to get Ron Paul the nomination at the last minute!

Well, now we know the real secret plan.

Ask yourself this: how much money would you have to be paid to work for an enemy of the things you’re supposed to stand for? Maybe now people will understand why Jesse would fly into a tirade after some of Ron’s most heroic moments, when the rest of us were cheering.

Doug Wead is without a doubt the smoothest and most articulate of the campaign people. A few comments of my own to introduce this video.

      ...

      (5) He suggests the decision not to go after Romney — which is now evidently being admitted to, after various denials — was taken relatively late in the game, to avoid a massive anti-Ron ad campaign by Romney. On the other hand, a senior official tells us otherwise.

And if you get Republicans who say that we can't prove that Ron Paul was defrauded in 2012, show them these:
