Rand Paul's Latest Disheartening Piece

Joshua Byers emails:

Here's a gem from Rand's latest piece on Breitbart.

"So we are then faced with a finite menu of diplomatic measures to isolate Russia, on most of which we all agree, such as sanctions and increased economic pressure." - Senator Rand Paul.

He not only sides with the Neo-Cons on Russia, completely disregarding the US involvement in the overthrow of the Ukrainian government, but he adds icing on the cake by going along with the white washed history of Ronald Reagan. Rand has completely sold out for power.

Truly disheartening,

Here is Murray Rothbard setting the record straight on Reagan.

  1. Once the masses figure out the elites have backed a Ukrainian government that is not...PC, there will be a battle over the bailout and Rand will hopefully be on the right side of that argument. Or he'll screw it up. The best outcome is a partitioned state, with a Russian Eastern state, and a 'fascist' West that resists control by the West, with backdoor accommodations to Russia--resisting the bailout will be the center piece, and Rand might yet redeem himself.

    1. Rand can start the road to redeeming himself by saying that Ukraine is none of the US's damm business simple as that. However at this point the bastard is a lost cause, Rand is only interested in being head of the fascist state not rolling it back.

    2. Well, since we agree he is not a libertarian, who gives a damn how he feels about libertarian "purists"?
Hunter is a GOP shill. Why on earth would we give a second's thought to some inconsequential radio-host twerp like that?

  3. Bob, I used to think you were too hard on Rand, never giving him the benefit of the doubt. No more, He deserves no such benefit now, He is fully on the dark side.

    1. Now you see why you can't compromise. Because in the end you eventually become a full blown sell out.

    2. Not to be an arrogant prick, but with a fully honed BS-alarm you should be able to see things like this coming well in advance.
As a matter of fact, you would have, the moment he endorsed Mitt Romney.
That was the moment he already exposed that GOP power was more important to him than principle. And the rest is history.

  4. The comparison Rothbard makes between Goldwater and Reagan fits Ron vs. Rand: "Goldwater was too blunt and candid, too much an unhandleable Real Person. What was needed was a lovable, manipulable icon."
