Last night, I caught the first episode of the new HBO series, Silicon Valley.
It's a comedy that is a caricature of SV. Nevertheless, there are some learning moments for anyone that wants to learn a bit about SV.
In episode one, it's about valuation. Two major league bidders emerge for a startup named Pied Piper. One of the bidders compete's by lowering his cash bid. Watch the show and find out why. It is a good lesson in valuation
