Paging Mark Thornton: World's Tallest Building Will Have World's Fastest Elevators

Jeddah Economic Company, whicj is chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, announced the selection of KONE Corporation as the vertical transportation provider to deliver the world's fastest and highest double-decker elevators to Kingdom Tower, which will travel at a speed of over 12.5 meters per second.

Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, will be equipped with a total of 65 Kone elevators and escalators including 21 Kone MonoSpace elevators, 29 Kone MiniSpace elevators, seven Kone DoubleDeck MiniSpace elevators, and eight KONE TravelMaster 110 escalators.

Prince Alwaleed said: "The construction of Kingdom Tower continues on its strategic path."
