The Richest People in the U.S.

Forbes is out with its latest The Forbes 400 list.

The net worth to get on the list this year is a record high $1.55 billion.

Bill Gates is the richest American for the 21st year in a row, with a net worth of $81 billion. Warren Buffett, chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway, occupies the number two spot. Larry Ellison is third.

Charles and David Koch are ranked number 4 and 5, each is worth, according to Forbes, $42 billion.

A newcomers to the list is Elizabeth Holmes with a net worth of $4.5 billion. She is the founder of the Henry Kissinger-related (SEE: The Very Creepy, Kissinger Connected, Theranos)

    Interesting that Forbes ascribes this value in that a liquidity event has not taken place to so to speak bank her alleged Net worth.
    However, with the present frothy market, and as pointed out ultra connected board, it is likely a slam dunk.
    Other observation, looks like the list has multiple individuals for the same asset levels counting as a single ranking in some cases, which may mean many more than 400 on the list. Does Forbes now have Forbes 400 List Inflation?

  2. Besides the Koch brothers, the top handful are all Liberal Democrats. Any idea how the rest of the list breaks down?
