HOT MAJOR EMERGENCY ALERT at MIT

The MIT emergency system just blasted out this text message to all students and faculty:
 MIT is investigating report of a serious emergency on Campus. Emergency personnel are responding. STAY ALERT.

Report of a chemical spill in Building 18. Please stay clear of the area. Emergency personnel are on scene.

The Dreyfus Building (Building 18), was designed by I.M. Pei and constructed in the late 1960s. It house the schools chemistry department.

LATEST UPDATES

2:15 PM: Emergency personnel continue to investigate a chemical spill at Building 18. At this time, no injuries have been reported. Please stay clear of the area.

2:35 PM: The investigation is continuing. Please continue to stay clear of Building 18.
