The Fastest Shrinking and Growing Economies

GDP is far from my favorite macroeconomic measure., so take this chart with a bit of salt.

It will provide a rough idea as to what is going on but with emphasis on rough.

 
One thing that should be noted is regions where the US no longer meddles, e,g, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, are doing well. Not the same for countries where the US is "bringing democracy to the people," see Libya and Syria.
