How Two Brothers Out Negotiated The NBA For Millions and Millions of Dollars

Forget this being one of the greatest sports negotiations ever. It is one of the greatest negotiations ever in all of business.

Anyone negotiating deals should study this one carefully. The key was the willingness of the brothers
to take a revenue stream overtime which the brothers seemed to understand the value of far better than the NBA.

Of note, most of Steve Bannon's wealth comes from his willingness to take a revenue stream as partial payment in the TV show Seinfeld when it was first launched.

Of course, you have to have a winner for this type of success to occur, but many negotiators will take their eyes off the ball when the opposing party asks for a part of a revenue stream.

Always ask for revenue streams and other types of potential upside potential when negotiating deals where there is little or nothing in terms of downside risk for you.
