Investment Adviser Murdered in NYC Hotel

A vice-president at Carlton Group, the Lebanese-born Andree (Sara) Bejjani, who was the founder of Royal Investments LLC, an investment firm based in Dubai, that specialized in advising wealthy Arab investors, was murdered Saturday morning at the posh Jumeirah Essex House hotel. The hotel is located on Central Parl South in NYC. Bejjani lived in a condo at the hotel, where rents reportedly start at $7,000 per month.

Police say she was killed by Derrick Praileau, a housekeeping manager. According to police, Praileau attempted to rape her, and killed her when she resisted.

Praileau, 29, began working at the hotel when he was 17 and was promoted to a manager's post seven years ago.
