Looks like January 3, the day Iowans go out to caucus will be cold but without new snow.
The high, now forecast, by the Weather Channel, will be 32 degrees and the low 26 degrees. It will be the coldest day of the week, but Iowans are used to cold. It's a severe snow storm that keeps them at home.
Bad weather, which now appears unlikely, is viewed as a plus for Ron Paul since his supporters are more dedicated and more likely to vote in any weather. Cold weather, with no snow, will bring out more casual, less dedicated supporters, who are less likely to be Ron Paul supporters.

ReplyDeleteI think if Ron Paul won during inclement weather, it would give the MSM another "we told you so" excuse to ignore Ron Paul. Ron Paul needs a win in Iowa, and he needs that win without the help of the weather.

ReplyDeleteLet's not give Huckster any additional credibility by suggesting RP is gonna win simply because of weather.
I dunno. I think there will be plenty of independents and disgruntled democrats who will vote for Paul. Last time all the action was in the Democratic caucus. Paul will also get substantial numbers of traditional republicans.

Wholeheartedly agree....do not want weather being the excuse the media uses as to why he won.

ReplyDeleteA poll I saw the other day breaks RP's following down, but I cannot remember the exact numbers. For Iowa the numbers were roughly 50% Republicans, 20% Democrats and 30% Independents.
Wrong Paul is going to be beat like a rented mule.
