He represented the 25th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1998 until 2012. He is currently a member of the Township Committee of Mendham Township in Morris County where he has served as both mayor and deputy mayor. From 1998 until 2012, he represented the 25th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly, where he was also Parliamentarian from 2006 through 2010.
His resume alone scares me, but still, he did hit the right notes when endorsing Murray, so I present the endorsement statement here:
I am proud to endorse Professor Murray Sabrin for the Republican nomination as candidate for the United States Senate because I have known Professor Sabrin for many years and have great respect for his integrity, intellect, and commitment to principle. Murray Sabrin is a gifted and articulate advocate for the core Republican message of limited government, and he will fearlessly carry this message to the United States Senate as a real representative of the people of New Jersey.Murray has also received the endorsement of Ron Paul.
New Jersey cannot afford a United States Senator who looks and sounds good, but whose rhetoric is empty of principles and whose public career devoid of meaningful accomplishments. By contrast, as an immigrant to this country, Murray Sabrin has personally lived the American dream and understands how to make the American promise a reality for every New Jersey resident.
I trust Murray Sabrin to keep his Senatorial oath to protect and defend the United States Constitution and the rights it guarantees to every American. Murray Sabrin is a thoughtful and independent voice in American politics, not just another partisan apparatchik who will fall into line with party leadership more interested in protecting its grip on office than in serving the American public.
I wish Murray all the best in the upcoming New Jersey primary. I would pay to watch him debate the Democratic senate candidate Cory Booker, if he gets the Republican nomination, and I will pay for Murray's plane ticket down to Washington D.C. if he ends up beating Booker in the general election.
