Geithner in London

It's a full court press for Treasury Secretary Geithner in London. What are they plotting?

Monday morning, Geithner will attend a meeting of financial sector representatives, hosted by the Bank of England, to discuss "global economic issues."

Later in the day, the Secretary will meet with Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling, Bank of England Governor Mervyn King and Financial Services Authority Chairman Adair Turner for a working lunch at No. 11 Downing.

Next, Geithner will meet with Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Chancellor Darling at No. 10 Downing.

Secretary Geithner will meet with Opposition Party Leader David Cameron and Shadow Chancellor George Osborne at Westminster. This meeting is closed press. The Secretary will depart London for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the late afternoon.
