First a Meeting with Rockefeller, Now an Exclusive CEO Microsoft Summit for Geithner

Last I left off coverage of Treasury Secretary Geithner, it was Friday and he was briefing David Rockefeller, Lynn Forester de Rothschild and the rest of the East Coast gang.

On Tuesday morning, Secretary Geithner heads west to Washington state, where he will tour a Boeing manufacturing site in Renton and meet with management, labor representatives and small business owners in the Boeing supply chain.

Later, he will visit the Port of Tacoma – one of the top 10 container ports in North America – with Governor Chris Gregoire.

Secretary Geithner will then meet with community banks from Washington state to discuss credit conditions, the environment for small business lending, and financial reform. The Secretary will, according to the Treasury, also address how Treasury’s proposed $30 billion Small Business Lending Facility and State Small Business Credit Initiative will help small banks and small businesses access capital.

But the biggie is in the evening, when the Secretary will attend the opening dinner of the Microsoft CEO Summit. The Summit is held at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, WA. This is how Crenk describes the Summit which is very short on press coverage:
Microsoft, since 1997, annually presents a very exclusive summit dedicated only to the most important CEOs around the planet, “Microsoft CEO Summit“.
